An Imperial Russian Silver cigarette case.Fully marked with the 84 zolotnik Silver standard for St Petersburg 1908-17 Faberge workmaster Anders Mickelson. The case reeded in alternating triangles forming an X. Gold and Sapphire thumbpiece. The cover set with a Sapphire and Diamond X mounted in Gold and Platinum, for Grand Duchess Xenia. Size 73mm x 100mm x 14mm.Condition is excellent with only very light pocket wear. Grand Duchess Xenia was the sister of Tsar Nicholas II

Shaped as the tip of Cupid's dart, the frame is
decorated with translucent blood red enamel
over a circular guillochage and four coloured
gold festoons suspended from pearls the circular
aperture within a bezel of half pearls, backed
with mother-of-pearl and supported
on a scrolled strut

An two colour enamelled gold frame
by Carl Fabergé,

the circular aperture within a pearl set bezel, flanked by
a stylised laurel enamelled vivid green over a naturalistic
guillochage, supported on two similarly enamelled
orange leaves centred by a drop set with fourteen
rose diamonds, with sealed gold back
and scrolled gold strut.

Moscow, 1896-1908,
inventory number: 16790.

Provenance:

Purchased from Fabergé by the Dowager Tsarina Marie
Feodorovna. Purchased by Wartski from the Antikvariat,
the soviet Commissariat established by Lenin in 1921 to sell
confiscated Russian works of art to raise currency for
industrialisation programs on 1st February 1932
for £14 and sold to an English private collector.

A photograph taken at Wartski's Regent Street shop in
the early 1930s showing the frame amongst a group of pieces
purchased from the Antikvariat. The packing case used to
transport them from Russia visible in the background

An Imperial gem set gold mounted coprolite
charka by Carl Fabergé,

the bowl is made from corprolite - fossilized dinasour dung,
from the Greek kopros meaning dung and lithikos
meaning stone - mounted with a chased gold handle
set with two cabochon sapphires in the form
of a stylised toucan, sitting on a red gold base.

Purchased from Fabergé by the Tsarevitch George
Alexandrovitch on 6th December1896 for 100 roubles

An enamelled silver mounted Karelian birch
photograph frame by Carl Fabergé,

in the form of a pediment, centred with a rectangular aperture
in a reeded silver bezel tied with gilded red ribbons, containing an
original photograph of the Heir, Tsarevitch and Grand Duke Alexei
Nicholaivitch, surmounted by a rectangular panel enamelled scarlet
over a moiré guillochage and applied with chased silver gilt
festoons, mounted below the aperture with silver bellflower
and rose motifs gilded green and red, with hinged strut
closing flush to the rear.

The frame contains an original photograph of Nicholas II's only son, the Heir,
Tsarevitch and Grand Duke Alexei Nicholaivitch. The photograph is one of a
series taken in St. Petersburg in 1907 during a sitting with his father. Very
few copies of the photographs were developed and their distribution was
strictly controlled by the Imperial Household.

centred with the cypher of the Empress Maria Feodorovna in rose diamonds, encircled a ruby and diamond wreath, surmounted by a bow holding a brilliant cut diamond.

formed from a block of nephrite, the push a Danish elephant
carved from white chalcedony and set with ruby eyes
stood on a silver gilt ground enamelled translucent
red over a sunburst guillochage, with Bakelite insert
underneath covering the mechanism.

An Imperial guilloché enamelled and gold mounted clock
by Carl Fabergé,
of square form, enamelled translucent pink over a moiré guillochage, and applied with a tired wreath of husks centring the circular pearl set bezel containing a white enamel dial with Arabic chapters and open-work gold hands, the gold rim decorated with laurel leaves and a rosette in each corner, the strut of scrolled silver.

The Tsarina's Fabergé Clock,

triangular, gold centred by a white enamel dial, with Arabic chapters and openwork gold hands held
beneath glass in a half pearl set bezel, its corners enamelled translucent fuchsia over a sunburst guillochage and
painted beneath the enamel with dendritic motifs, the edge enamelled with alternating leaves and berries, stood
on two ball feet and supported on a scrolled gold strut.

Purchased by Tsar Nicholas II and Tsarina Alexandra Feodorovna on
4th December 1901 for 215 roubles.

Exhibited by The Tsarina in the exhibition of Artistic Objects and Miniatures by Fabergé held in March 1902 in the Von
Dervise Mansion on the English Embankment, St. Petersburg. The exhibition was sponsored by the Tsarina and held in
aid of the Imperial Women's Patriotic Society Schools. Members of the Imperial Family, including the Tsar, Tsarina
and Dowager Tsarina lent their personal treasures and it was the first exhibition of Fabergé 's work. The clock was
placed by the Tsarina in its vitrine between a pair of Fabergé frames containing portraits of her husband and her
daughter Grand Duchess Olga, now in the collection of the India Early Minshall Collection of the Cleveland Museum
of Art and in front of a gold mounted Fabergé book given by the Tsar to the Tsarina on the day of their
coronation in May 1896, now in the collection of the Kremlin, Moscow

diamonds set in the intersections, centred by a cabochon sapphire and
diamond set Romanov crown, contained in its original silk and velvet lined
fitted leather case the lid gilded with an Imperial Eagle.

inventory number 2004.
Purchased by the Imperial Cabinet from Faberge on 8th June 1909 for 90
roubles. Then given by the Tsarina Alexandra Feodorovna to a Miss Fletcher
during her visit with Tsar Nicholas II onboard the Imperial yacht
the Standart to Cowes in 1909.

aperture beneath bombe glass held in a half pearl bezel set with a ruby to each corner,
mounted with finely chased four coloured gold swags and festoons suspended
from rose diamonds, two further rose diamonds set in gold towards the bottom of
the frame, surmounted by a red gold bow mounted with a cabochon ruby, t
he backing mother of pearl , supported on a scrolled silver gilt strut.

translucent green enamel over a dappled guillochage and
opaque white enamel, the gold mount chased with acanthus
leaves, the thumb piece a circular brilliant cut burnt orange
coloured garnet, the interior silver gilt and engraved with
the initials N.Y.R.

Mafer que preciosas imágenes, hay que ver que la corte de Rusia tenía de verdad un refinamiento extremado, creo que desarrollaron un insuperable buen gusto. basta ver cada pieza de orfebrería y por más que se le detalle con lupa se ven lo detallistas y exigentes que eran, de verdad obras como estas son muy difíciles de superar.... Toda mi admiración para Mafer y los que cuelgan estas increíbles imágenes, saludos!!

De plata dorada y esmalte salmón rosado, impresión de la imagen en miniatura, marco de la rama de Faberge en Moscú, entre 1899 y 1908.

Altura: 3 3 / 4 pulgadas (9,4 cm).

Esmalte original intacto. No hay restauración.
